Management and employees

The Director of Norgesskolen is employed on an annual basis with responsibility for planning, implementation and development of the school. During the open weeks of the school, there are usually twelve employees at work at all times; teachers and activity leaders, in addition to the director. The number of employees may vary depending on the number of enrolled students.
All employees stay at the school and live in dormitories on campus.
The teachers are responsible for the morning sessions and four hours of Norwegian lessons, while the activity leaders are responsible for the after-school curriculum, including the culture lesson, the activity hour, the tent trip and night shifts.
The employees will also be present in the common areas in the afternoon and evening.
In addition will all employees be assigned responsibility for a specific group of students within the dormitories.

Requirements for teachers

Fluent in Norwegian
-
Works as a teacher or is studying to become one

Has had Norwegian language as part of their teacher education
-
Previous teaching experience
Requirements for activity leaders

Started or completed education in areas such as sports or outdoor life
-
Pedagogical experience or education is valued, but is not a requirement
